Caroline Kamau Kimoita is a Partner at CM Advocates.

Caroline is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, who possesses 14 years of vast wealth of knowledge in matters Real Estate, Banking and Finance, a Commissioner for oaths, Notary public, CS Finalist, and a member of the Law Society of Kenya in good standing.

She is a Partner at the top Tier Firm of CM Advocates LLP and the Business Unit Head of the Real Estate Banking Finance Business Unit. Caroline is also the current Chair of the Firm’s Marketing and Business Development Board, tasked with generation of Client Centric policies for implementation across all of the Firm’s Local and Regional branches in East, Central and West Africa.

She is an experienced, innovative and ambitious lawyer with a proven track record of providing indispensable advice and guidance tailored to fit every legal complexity in relation to Real Estate. Her assignments have provided her with niche opportunities to become adept in legal advisory, regulatory and compliance on all land related transactions.

As a Business unit head , Caroline supervises a team of young brilliant Advocates and continues to actively steer the ship to achieve successful execution of contractual assignments in favor of various Firm clients at CM Advocates LLP at an estimated total project value of Kenya Shillings, 8.8 billion for real estate and security perfection transactions.

She has recently had the enviable opportunity to advise her clients, especially developers, financiers and purchasers, and empower them to adapt to the ever-changing land laws landscape with specific reference to the Sectional Properties Act ,2021 and attendant regulations and as such, she has also overseen the processing of over 200 sectional titles. Continuous client training, has also enabled Caroline and her team to continue to facilitate the transfer of these titles and other land related transactions on Ardhisasa.

Caroline considers herself an enthusiastic servant leader and team player, a problem- solver with a client centric mindset, with the keen ability to rapidly assess diverse situational challenges and develop action plans fitting the varying business priorities and dynamics of her vast and evolving client base.

Caroline recently completed her Certified Secretaries Course at Kasneb and is waiting admission.

Previous Experience

Since admission to the bar, she has previously worked with the firms of Iseme Kamau and Maema Advocates as well as Sichangi Partners Advocates and Mamicha & Co. Advocates whereby she gained substantive legal experience and exposure.
