Education Background
James holds a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) from the University of Nairobi and a Post Graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law under the Advocates Training Program.
Experience
He joined the firm in May, 2018 as a holding over trainee advocate and upon admission, was engaged in the firm’s Debt Recovery, Restructuring & Insolvency Unit and the Commercial and Dispute Resolution Units.
He is a currently a member of the Law Society of Kenya and is a Certified Secretary (CS) Finalist. Previously, he has worked at the Capital Markets Authority where he was attached to the Regulatory Framework arm of the Authority where he cultivated a great deal of experience and exposure in corporate governance and compliance practices for the various players in the capital markets.
He has also volunteered for the International Justice Mission-Kenya assisting the organization in the pursuit of its mandate to curb police abuse of power. He has worked with a number of start-ups at various incubation centers such as the Nailab assisting them achieve the requisite corporate structures and compliance threshold.
He is an all rounded and invaluable team player and is extensively involved in corporate and commercial law, company secretarial matters, dispute resolution and debt recovery and security enforcement matters.
