Education Background

Njomo Kamau holds an LLB (Hons) in Law from the University of Manchester, UK, an LLM in Law from the University of East Anglia, UK, and a Postgraduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law. He is also a Certified Secretary (CS (K)) and a Commissioner for Oaths and Notary Public.

Experience

Njomo has previously worked with the law firm of Kaplan and Stratton Advocates, followed by roles as an in-house legal counsel at Airtel Networks (Kenya) Limited and Linksoft Integrated Services (EA) Limited. He has extensive experience in corporate and commercial law, telecommunications, media and technology law, regulatory advisory, corporate advisory, property law, business registration, company secretarial services, labour and employment law, energy law, joint venture transaction advisory and intellectual property practice. Njomo has played a pivotal role in major telecommunications and energy transactions, including collaborations with Safaricom Limited on Base Transmission Station (BTS) Managed Services Contracts, Geothermal Development Company (GDC), Huduma Kenya, Kenya Power & Lighting Company Limited, and the Rural Electrification Authority. He has also worked beyond Kenya’s borders, regularizing lease and license documentation for Airtel Kenya's Base Transmission towers and serving as Legal & Regulatory Affairs Manager at Airtel Malawi Limited.
