Education Background

Miriam undertook her undergraduate studies in law at the University of Nairobi and thereafter pursued a postgraduate diploma in law at the Kenya School of Law under the Advocates Training Program.

Experience

She was admitted to the Bar as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya on 25th May, 2017. She is presently pursuing her LLM studies in Public Finance and Financial Services Law at the University of Nairobi.

Miriam is engaged at the Firm as an Associate Advocate in the Conveyance, Commercial, Corporate and Immigration Department. She is extensively involved in commercial and corporate law work and is responsible for incorporation and restructuring of corporate entities including LLPs, companies, societies, Public Benefit Organizations among others.

In the Conveyance Department, her roles range from drafting and reviewing Agreements, Leases and Transfers and the management of property transactions from inception to completion. Miriam is also adept in the preparation and perfection of securities having handled various banking transactions for diverse clients.

Previously, she worked as an Associate in the Conveyance, Real Estate and Banking Department at CFL Advocates. Miriam also worked as an intern in the Tax Knowledge Management Department at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where she was tasked to review tax legislation, monitor and document changes to tax legislation and review case law and jurisprudence on tax with a view to developing a tax knowledge management database.
