Afia heads Debt Recovery, Restructuring & Insolvency Business Unit. She holds an LLB degree (Hons) from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa and a Post Graduate Diploma at the Kenya School of Law. She is also a Commissioner for Oaths, Notary Public and an Associate Member of Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
She has previously worked at Mohamed Muigai Advocates as a trainee Advocate, subsequently she joined Sichangi Partners Advocates, Nyali-Mombasa Branch as the head of Litigation.
In her capacity as head of Litigation she handled a wide array of cases including matters of criminal litigation, civil litigation particularly in the areas of contractual claims, land dispute matters, employment disputes, probate and succession. She has cultivated a healthy working relationship with Clientele and is a valuable team player. Apart from that she has an interest in humanitarian work.
