Lusi is a Partner and the Head of the Dispute Resolution Business Unit leading a team of top litigation lawyers. Lusi is an experienced litigator, with over 12 years post-admission experience. He is a skilled dispute resolution practitioner routinely representing Clients in resolving disputes on diverse areas of law including those arising from regulatory compliance, employment, labor relations (Union) disputes, public procurement and disposal law, consumer protection law, physical planning, land use and environmental law, security realization law, constitutional and public administrative law, electoral and political parties disputes, family and succession law, select criminal defence as well as intellectual property law enforcement. Lusi leverages on his outstanding legal analysis, superior legal drafting and brilliant presentation, in asserting and securing his Clients’ best interests.
Lusi has an excellent understanding of the Kenyan Courts as he actively practices in the Magistrate’s Courts, Statutory Tribunals, the High Court, Environment and Land Court, the Employment Court as well as the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court. Lusi is also an ardent champion for alternative dispute resolution (ADR). He is involved in the development and improvement of practice before the various Courts, by serving as a member of the Law Society of Kenya’s High Court Commercial & Tax Bar-Bench Committee, the Environment and Land Court’s Bar-Bench Committee, the National Environment Tribunal Bar-Bench as well as Intellectual Property Committees. He served as a Member of the Inaugural Law Society of Kenya’s Elections Board
He is also currently serving as a Member of the Copyright Tribunal.
Lusi holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree from Moi University, a post-graduate Diploma form the Kenya School of Law, Masters Degree in Intellectual Property Law from Strathmore University, and numerous other professional certifications.
