Anna is a notary public, a commissioner of oaths and an advocate of the High Court of Kenya, now in her 10th year of post admission experience. She is a Senior Associate and leads the Real Estate Banking and Finance, Commercial/Business Law, Family Law, Wealth and Private Clients Practice Group and Probate Administration business units at the Firm’s Mombasa and Diani Offices. She has assisted clients with: property due diligence in line with the existing law and emerging court set precedents, structured and closed on major real estate and joint venture transactions, property development such as change of use, subdivision, amalgamation etc, conversion of titles including conversion of long term leases to sectional titles, structuring special purpose vehicles and allied formalities to assist foreigners to acquire property in light of the underlying ineligibilities under the Kenyan law, structuring the holding of family property while appreciating tax planning among other liabilities, acquisition of property proceeding from sale by auction in enforcement of a chargee’s rights, business set up among others. From clients’ feedback, Anna believes that she practices her God aligned purpose which she gratefully refers to as the “Anna effect”!

Anna holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law, a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from Mt. Kenya University, and a Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Professional Studies.

Anna is an avid reader and writer. She will pop into a colleague’s office for a quick check in and sharing of something new she has learnt. She loves bringing the best out of her colleagues while having intentional authentic conversations and making a big deal out of her and their special occasions and work milestones, which don’t go down without a celebration! She loves mentoring young advocates and law students in the firm. She is one of the trustees in a charitable trust, S.H.E Unfettered Foundation, which sponsors and mentors female law students through their tenure at the Kenya School of Law and later in their practice. In the firm, a current employee advocate as well as one current student are beneficiaries of the trust.
