Capacity to enter a contract is one of the essential elements of a valid contract. Therefore, a parent or guardian must provide consent for a minor enter into a contractual agreement. A Parental Consent and Guarantee Agreement is an agreement that outlines the terms upon which a parent consents and guarantees their minor’s engagement in a particular legal activity. This Parental Consent and Guarantee is drafted for purposes of giving consent to engage a minor as an artist. The terms of this contract are in favour of the producer, but may be modified or amended to address specific needs of the parties involved.
