Notes:

1.                This document is a template of a cyber security policy has been created to help small (and new) businesses to create their first internal policy in relation to cyber security. This policy is restrictive rather than permissive.

2.               Issues covered in the policy include: (i) the legal nature of the policy; (ii) the consequences of a breach of the policy; (ii) specific rules of behavior relating to passwords, technical security measures, breach reporting, personal devices and software installation.

3.               This precedent is intended to act as a guide in drafting a cyber-security policy. It may be modified or amended as need may be.
